Elie Saab Prefall 2016: 60’s London

Another tangible change spotted at Elie Saab’s Prefall collection. It actually began in his SS16 ready to wear collection back in October: Lengths were shorter, stripes were sportier. Honestly, I can’t wait to see his Haute Couture collection next week!!It seems that Saab has his eye on a new, younger kind of customer.A relaxed attitude was involved through the designer’s prefall collection. He took us  back to the late-Sixties London for romantic shapes with a bohemian air. Colors were a shade: BLACK. Most of the collection was black with a participation of light blue, blush pink and emerald green. Now for the new elements we witnessed were the Wellington boots twisted with lace and over-the-knee boots with spikes. Actually, lace was everywhere in this collection.Black lace dresses were on a youthful charm worn flat booties or sandals. Other looks were pure 60’s with a deep-V cut and skinny scarf around the neck.  We also spotted a green leather laser-cut floral miniskirt and a fully fringed maxi skirt and it seemed music festival-ready.Personally, my heart fell for those embroidered coats and this fringed cape.Furthermore, geometric motifs were thrown into the mix and offered a crisper take on the counterculture vibe. And Again Elie Saab wins my heart with another collection. What are your thoughts?
