After launching a successful Egyptian Haute Couture collection that left us speechless and making a huge appearance for his designs at the Oscars’ red carpet, Elie Saab sandwiched these two events with a dark romantic collection. “I wanted something rich, maybe it is less commercial than before and more dramatic” said Saab. He wanted a “dramatic heroine. (more…)

Ralph & Russo Haute Couture SS17

russo8Ralph & Russo is a brand which has a strong Red Carpet presence. Since launching their house, an enviable number of Hollywood A-listers shined in their beautiful gowns. For this couture show, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo presented a more contemporary and urban collection: A good range of daywear options accompanied some Red-carpet worthy gowns. (more…)

Elie Saab Haute Couture SS17

How does it feel when your favorite designer presents a collection as a  tribute to your country? For those of you who don’t know, I am originally from Egypt. While I was watching the show ( live on Instagram lol), I got goosebumps, literally: These dresses inspired by Egyptian actresses in the 50’s era and Oum Khoulthoum’s song in the background left me speechless. You know why? (more…)

Dior SS16: Lingerie Inspired

Dior Fashion Show Ready to Wear Collection Spring Summer 2016 in Paris

Guests arriving to Raf Simons’ Dior show entered through a mountain of blue delphiniums shipped in to decorate the Dior tent. Once you entered, you will find yourself in a white expanse of a space: shiny floor and tented ceiling. There was Raf Simons backstage, talking about keeping things simple and quiet: “I feel like doing something calm, calm and beautiful and sensitive and romantic, I didn’t want to embellish. So I was thinking about the South of France—rainbows and the simple things. And there’s a bit of Victoriana: something of that film Picnic at Hanging Rock. With a slight sexual undertone of darkness.” (more…)

Squad goals

When we think of Balmain, the first things that come in our minds is definitely the image of a sexy, modern & confident women. Balmain show has become such a magnet for fans and paparazzi. Olivier Rousteing has developed a strong identity, yet one too rooted in retro, not unusual for a still-young designer. Each show, Rousteing blows out our minds with his aesthetic creations. “For SS16 collection, no inspiration, just a way to celebrate my five years at Balmain” Olivier said backstage. As always, super sexy was the dominant trait in the whole collection. And I have to admit that Oliver always discovers new elegant ways to show skin and to do sexy: Incredible. Rousteing toned down the color this season and focused on nudes, green,   purple, white & black. (more…)

Finally, the Paris couture week ended: it was outstanding. For the next season, it will be all about capes, pastels, midriffs, flowers everywhere, new creative patterns and fabrics. Here are my favorite collection,Let’s start:

1)Elie Saab:

As I’d like to call: The Genius. He never disappointed me.The livestream time was during my school time: So all day long, I was waiting impatiently to see what Saab had done. Each time, I say he reaches the pick but in every new collection he finds another pick to reach it, unbelievable. It was inspired by his past, back in the 60’s, dedicated to Beirut. This period for him was: golden age. (more…)

Elie Saab : Genius

As the title said it , he is a genius. Elie saab is one of my fav designers not only lebanese. This man is the perfect meaning of creativity. Each collection is better than the last. When u look at these dresses, don’t you directly fall in love ? Don’t you??? He never fails to impress me. One of my wish, is to meet him ,attend his show and talk to him. “Dive into the deep blue” is a collection where elie saab changed a little bit his concept from the previous collection. He used new colours: popping orange and yellow, this beautiful sky blue and turquoise without forgetting the black and the white. Through he changed his inspiration, but we can always spot the femininity, elegance and glamour in his dresses. He adapts as well this 70 ‘s silhouette. He inserts different kinds of fabrics & prints. And the lighting at the catwalk really brightened up the show. Final two words to say : Chapeau bas 😍. Enjoy now my fav looks
