After launching a successful Egyptian Haute Couture collection that left us speechless and making a huge appearance for his designs at the Oscars’ red carpet, Elie Saab sandwiched these two events with a dark romantic collection. “I wanted something rich, maybe it is less commercial than before and more dramatic” said Saab. He wanted a “dramatic heroine. (more…)

Dior SS16: Lingerie Inspired

Dior Fashion Show Ready to Wear Collection Spring Summer 2016 in Paris

Guests arriving to Raf Simons’ Dior show entered through a mountain of blue delphiniums shipped in to decorate the Dior tent. Once you entered, you will find yourself in a white expanse of a space: shiny floor and tented ceiling. There was Raf Simons backstage, talking about keeping things simple and quiet: “I feel like doing something calm, calm and beautiful and sensitive and romantic, I didn’t want to embellish. So I was thinking about the South of France—rainbows and the simple things. And there’s a bit of Victoriana: something of that film Picnic at Hanging Rock. With a slight sexual undertone of darkness.” (more…)

Balmain SS16 : New ways to do sexy

Squad goals

When we think of Balmain, the first things that come in our minds is definitely the image of a sexy, modern & confident women. Balmain show has become such a magnet for fans and paparazzi. Olivier Rousteing has developed a strong identity, yet one too rooted in retro, not unusual for a still-young designer. Each show, Rousteing blows out our minds with his aesthetic creations. “For SS16 collection, no inspiration, just a way to celebrate my five years at Balmain” Olivier said backstage. As always, super sexy was the dominant trait in the whole collection. And I have to admit that Oliver always discovers new elegant ways to show skin and to do sexy: Incredible. Rousteing toned down the color this season and focused on nudes, green,   purple, white & black. (more…)

Chloé RTW FW15: 70’s vibes

Chloé girl can now stand her ground among those other creations.Yes, admittedly she is a bit hippy and she does have lovely hair center parted. The first look was a floor-sweeping, tailored greatcoat in military wool, with a narrow, peaked shoulder and structured just so tailored wool trousers; and a more feminine blouse. This rigorous masculine precision persisted in the tailoring throughout the collection. It balanced out all the flou and made the Chloé girl much more desirable Something that is sometimes missing under all the layers of muslin and flirtatious girlishness at the label. I also loved these original capes specially the fringed one!!.

Barbara Bui RTW FW15: Mix of everything

Paris fashion week is over which means it’s time for a review. I found out that it’s really tiring to join all the reviews in one post and plus my readers get bored reading the post. That’s why I decided to post each one to two reviews. The first review is about Barbara Bui.Personally, I love Barbara bui and this collection was marvelous. From the leather details to the fur jacket, the studded capes to the asymmetrical skirts, Bui presented a collection with a shot of rock and roll. It was mostly dark – navy and black mixed with brown and sky blue.
